Zimarine was founded in Sao Paulo, Brazil in 1999 by the Ziouva Family, an extension of the wood import export business started 40 years ago.
Zimarine is the industry leader in south America providing the highest quality Burmese teak decks (4000 decks to date) and wood to the yacht manufactures and yacht refit sectors.
Zimarine has been importing the finest teak wood from Burma (Myanmar) for 15 years and have strong relationships with the saw mills in the Far East. These long standing relationships enable us to reliably source the highest quality teak at the most competitive price.
Now that the USA and European import embargos on Burmese imports have been eased we are now able to import directly to the USA. We can now offer our Teak decks and wood to North American yacht builders and yacht refit industry at very competitive prices.
During 2015 Christian Ziouva visited ship yards across America and learned the industry is enthusiastic about having another substantial Teak Deck Supplier. Zimarine decided to establish a manufacturing facility in the USA and Zimarine Teak Specialists was incorporated inDecember 2015. Zimarine Teak Deck Specialist is a partnership between the Ziouva family and financial partners.
After initial setup and training we opened our 11,000 sq ft manufacturing facility in Doral Florida in February 2016. We have sold and installed several boats of Teak decks over the past eight months, new build and refit. We now have excellent references in the US and are developing relationships with builders and refit yards.
We offer a full service from complete decks to repair and maintenance of existing decks and use only our own trained staff to install our decks and service our clients. We offer a two year guarantee, materials and labor on all decks we install.
We have regular teak wood shipments scheduled and can offer the industry teak lumber of various lengths, widths and thicknesses. We also offer teak deck panels to those yards producing decks and installation to their customers.
